Beverly Hills Cop IV

I'm not sure how reliable this source is, so I may be slightly premature with this post. However, I read a news article on latinoreview today detailing a potential script for the new beverly hills cop movie written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. If this has any credibility, please use your influence to ensure some significant changes are made! When i heard (after some speculation) that you were planning on making this an R rated movie, I became excited after so many films these days seem to be selling out to the PG-13 rating. The biggest sell out for me was Die Hard 4.0 and i'm glad, given the similarities (80s franchises getting another chance) that this doesn't appear to have fallen into the same trap.

However, after reading today's article i.e. the script content, my excitement levels died down significantly. The biggest mistake is the absence of any of the original cast in a major supporting role. To have any chance of capturing the essence of the original, you need the trio of Foley, Taggart and Rosewood, ideally with Bogenmill in the mix too! Also, Foley's motor mouth antics need to be handled carefully. In number one, these kinda scenes are genius (for example Foley's entry into maitlands members only club, or the scene in the warehouse). In number 2, they are entertaining but sometimes over the top, and in number 3 they are non existent or just without enthusiasm.

Also, please can we have some pointer sisters in the soundtrack! An i hope whatever you do to the Axel F track isn't too far from the original!

Even as an outlandish suggestion, set this film in the 80s! Maybe shortly after Cop II. Understand the cast have significantly aged but couldn't you do some kind of CGI!?!

Regardless of whether the script was genuine, I hope you take on board my comments.

Cancel the God of War Movie

As some of you may know, Brett Ratner is making a God of War movie.
Many fans of the game are distraught by this issue because of Brett's reputation in movie making. David Jaffe, the creator of the franchise is thrilled, excited and whatnot but this is a risk not worth taking. Few of the movies Brett directed were good such as Rush Hour, Red Dragon and...hmmm.
Says a lot doesn't it?
I have seen X-Men 3 and it was enjoyable i got to say, but compared to the last two, it is fairly weak. Brett is planning to tackle the visual aspect of the movie saying that he is ready to get the green screens and what not so i give him points for that. But seriously this project should be in someone else's hands. Somone who has a good experience in making action moives.

Hello Brett,

I saw the 3 movies of RUSH HOUR and let me tell you I love them, I know that I am asking too much but I would love to see another RUSH HOUR 4 movie same 2 funny actors, JAckie CHAN and Chris Tucker, and I would love to see my favorite actress there her name is Nia Peeples, she had 6 months of Thang Soo Do and worked with Chuck Norris in Walker Texas Ranger and with Steve Seagal (Half Past Dead) I hope to see in the future a RUSH HOUR 4 with those 3 people, it was so funny!, congratulations for those 3 movies, hope to see another rush hour movie.

The Box office success of X3 is ENTIRELY based on the X-Men's long-established popularity and Bryan Singer's previous successes. YOU, brett RATner, RUINED the entire franchise. You created a situation from which the continuity can never recover! Did you set out to end X-Men films forever? Because it seems as if you fully intended to close the door on the X-Men for good. You should be blacklisted from Hollywood, and Marvel should NEVER employ or associate with you ever again. Here's a suggestion: Go work for DC.

My Name is Hussein Nagy Mahmoud Shaker and I am from Cairo, Egypt.

As a matter of fact I have an EXCELLENT film story of my own creation about filming a new movie in Egypt staring the great Jackie Chan and the great Chris Tucker in what I want to name Rush hour 4 in Egypt.

If we are, when?

Fantastic Four got an extended edition that gives more substance and breathing space to the movie. X-Men The Last Stand needs one as well.

The theatrical release of The Last Stand was too short. For the number of characters in it (especially new characters) and the scale of its storylines, it needed to be much longer.

Phoenix Effect in Director's Cut?

Hey Brett if you make an Extended Director's Cut of "X-Men: The Last Stand" could you add a Phoenix effect for when Jean rises from the lake and during the final battle? It would make Phoenix fans really happy!! Plus you could sell a million more DVDs cuz people would want to see it!!

The ads could even say "Special Extended Director's Cut With Added Phoenix Effect" (lol)!

I'm not talking about a big ol' bird flying around but more of a fiery aura emanating from her that resembles a Phoenix, something like this...

Something to think about??

In the Marvel Encyclopedia volume 2 - Xmen it says a few things.
1. Leech's power are not permanent, so everyone that took the cure with gain their powers back.
2. Pheonix is immortal, she keeps coming back in Jean's body. Jean learns to control the Pheonix and becomes good again but she has the Pheonix powers.
3. Both Cyclops and Prof.X die in the story of xmen comics, but they come back.
4. Rogue's powers evolve to be more powerful.

I loved watching the xmen cartoons, I have 239 comics, and I have the 6 volume Marvel Encyclopedia. I would like to point out Xmen 1 & 2 were awesome with great storyline however in the comics and cartoons the brotherhood and the xmen concerntrated way more on the fights, xmen 1 & 2 focused more on the storyline and less on the fights. Xmen 3 had more from the cartoons and comics. Thats my personal opinion, I know a lot think otherwise.

All xmen movies were terrific.

I CANT WAIT TIL XMEN 4!!!!!

ok this is what i think it should be

X-MEN: rise of apocalypse

starting scene:
its a stormy night out in the middle of egypt and there is hundreds of sinisters evil henchman surrounding what seems like a pyramid/temple, with stairs leading to the top where an old granite table is set at the top and a door that leads into the top room of the temple that is locked.at the top sinister and the lead henchman is standing by the table and the lead henchman says to sinister, "are you sure this will work", and sinister replies, " of course it will. we captured one of the most powerful mutants alive today."
the lead henchmen then says, " where did you capture him"
sinister replies again, "we knocked him out while he was trying to protect his X-team as they ran into the tunnels for protection"
then he yells, "BRING HIM UP!.
then the crowd of henchmen move aside for two henchmen that are carrying a mutant (Banshee) that is seemed to be knocked out. all of the henchmen stare at the two of them carrying banshee as the rain pours dramatically against there face. sinister awaits them at the bottom of the stairs. thats when banshee awakens and lets out one of his sonic cries for freedom, sending sinister flying onto the stairs scrating his whole face. sinisters lifts himself up and as he walks towards banshee, the wounds on his face starts to heal. banshee again opens his mouth, ready to send sinister flying
once again. sinister quickely runs and plants a punch into banshee's face, stoppng him from yelling his sonic cry. this punch also knocks out banshee once again. they carry banshee to the top of the temple placing him on top of the table strapping his arms and legs. the henchmen run down the stairs to the bottom of the temple. sinister turns to the crowd and yells" you will know witness our god come alive and lead once again. we will sacrifice this all powerful mutant, banshee from the x-men to bring back again, that what should have never been taken from this world".
the crowd yells and cheers and then silence. sinister turns and places his hands on banshee's head and stomach. sinister closes his eyes and starts to chant a hindu-arabic spell. suddenly light beams from banshee's body as sinister chants louder and louder. banshee awakens from the pain and then as sinsiter yells the final part of the spell, banshee lets aout a massive cry of pain as the whole temple lights up. the light bursts out throwing sinister off the temple top and onto the stairs. every henchmen ducks for their life. all that is left of banshee is a explosion of light from every part of his body and a gigantic cry for help with his sonic booming voice, which deafens everyone in ear shot for a moment.
the light leaves the temple ,leaving an empty table and what seemed to be a locked door before, now opened.
"APOCALYPSE.......APOCALYPSE", sinister yells from the bottom level of the stairs.
an outline of a human steps out from the open temple doors.
"i knew u were worthy of my trust sinister", apocalypse replies.
"i knew it would work i just knew it!", sinister says with joy.
apocalypse yels to sinister, "HAVE YOU MY ARMY READY?".
"TAKE A LOOK FOR YOURSELF MY LORD", sinister yells back.
apocalypse turns to face the army of henchmen." yes! my reign of destruction will soon begin", apocalypse says to himself while chuckling.

this is now when the open credits play and then it starts again:

the movie continues with storm in her headmistress's office, doing book work when there is a knock on the door and storm places the pen on her desk and say"come in".
shadowcat phases through the door instead of opening it and storm says" hey kitty. can i help you?"
"is it true that there is another team of x-men that i are on the other side of america and they are coming here for our help because of an incident or death?", kitty asks politely.
"yes it is true kitty. oh, here they are now.", storm replies while looking at a limousine ariving
through the school gates.

the next scene is emma frost opening the door and plzcing her self out of the car. other mutants also get out of the limousine( magma, jubilee-who was sent there to help emma and banshee,sunfire, cannonball and wolfesbane).
storm, kitty, beast, wolverine and iceman greet them at the front door.
"i am sorry to disturb you ororo but since banshee was killed we had no choice but to seek help as i can not lead these kids alone", emma frost says to storm at the door.
"it's fine seriously. it is no hassle at all", replies storm.
are you sure sinister has awoken apocalypse from the dead?", beat asks emma.
"yes, i am sure of it. magma and i heard one of sinisters henchmen talking about them using banshee as a sacrifice to awaken apocalyse so he can reign his destruction across the world!", emma replies facing beast and storm.
"who is apocalypse ms. munroe?",iceman- robert(bobby) drake asks storm.
"you do not want to know", replies jubilee.
strom, wolverine,emma frost and beast all look at each other worried as the limo cannonball and sunfire unpack all of their luggage before the limo takes off.

the next scene is :
at a sort of a laboratory where sinister and apocalypse are talking
"i have a suprise for u master", sinister says to apocalypse.
pointing towards a lab table with a body with cords everywhere on it.
"who is it?", asks apocalypse.
"i call her madelyne pryor also known as the clone of jean grey formally known as an x-man. she is also the only mutant now, with the power of the phoenix force!", sinister replies.
"she will be one of my weapons. good work sinister", apocalypse replies.

that is all i have thought of at the moment and i also think that emma frost should be a big part and she should have both of her powers-telepthy and the power to turn her body into a diamond form.
i also think that the story should have magma's powers being to strong for her to handle but in the end she ends up controling them well and i also think that strom powers get extremly powerful and she should end up saving the team because its always wolverine in the other movies.
and i alsoo think that there should be some love with emma frost and wolverine.
